Eligibility and Submission Process
Submissions must come from filmmakers that live and film in Washington State.
Non-English language films must include English subtitles.
Films can be any length that doesn't exceed a 30 minute runtime including credits.
Films should be submitted in a digital format and if selected be able to provide a downloadable version in a format such as .mp4 .mov. or H.264 for screening purposes.
Submissions must be received by the specified deadline. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Multiple submissions are allowed, but each submissions will require its own entry fee of $20 or $15 for student films.
Entry Fees are not refundable.
Submissions will only be accepted via our page at FilmFreeway.
Content Guidelines
All genres are accepted and welcome, however films that contain pornographic content will not be accepted.
Submissions must be an original work, and the applicant holds the sole responsibility of copyright clearance of any copyrighted material in the film.
Selection, Promotion, and Awards
Submitted films will be reviewed and selected by a committee of judges.
By submitting your film you grant Emerald City Short Film Festival permission to screen it at the festival and use clips and stills from it for promotional purposes.
Films selected for the festival will be eligible for awards including but not limited to Best Short, Best Cinematography, Best Performances
